As a provider of healthcare, North Downs Hospital is responsible for distributing quality reports internally and to participate in quality data collection that feeds into external quality reports. Some reports created are required for our own internal Clinical Governance, some are required for our Ramsay Healthcare UK Corporate reporting, some are required for our Stakeholders, for example the NHS England, Clinical Commissioning Groups and the Care Quality Commission. Finally, some reports are required for availability to Patients such as patient feedback and reviews.
Reports may be on clinical issues including patient safety incidents, on risk management such as audits and others may be on issues like staff satisfaction.
Reports are created monthly, quarterly, bi-annually and annually and data is carefully summarised and scrutinised for trends, actions required and organisational learning. Such reports assist us to benchmark against other sites and are useful tools in our local governance and audit.
Our patients can be assured of the quality of the hospital and its Consultants by referring to the hospitals Quality Accounts and also the Care Quality Commission (CQC) Audits undertaken by the Department of Health which support the hospital’s excellent reputation.
