Clinical interests

Mr Stephen Brennan is a consultant general, upper GI and laparascopic surgeon. His main areas of clinical expertise are in laparascopic upper GI surgery such as keyhole removalof the gallbladder, gallstones and hernias. As a general surgeon he also treats a wide range of general surgical conditions such as abdominal pain, bleeding,appendicitis, lumps and bumps and all upper GI conditions.

He has a special interest in gallbladders and hernias, including laparoscopic repair of umbilical, inguinal, and incisional hernia. Mr Brennan routinely performs both upper GI gastroscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy.

Other conditions he treats include haemorrhoids removal treatment, ingrown toenail surgery, mole, cyst, wart and skin tag removal.

Academic background

Originally Mr Brennan is from Dublin and has undergone his undergraduate medical training in Scotland. Afterwards, he completed Laproscopic Surgery fellowships in the renowned MATTU Centre in Guildford, Surrey.
