The range of body surgeries we offer
Liposuctions, also known as fat reduction surgery, liposculpture or lipoplasty, removes fatty tissue from your body with the aim of improving the contours of your body.
Often stubborn pockets of fat in the lower back, stomach, thighs, hips, bum, upper arms, male chest and chin are hard to lose by diet and exercise alone and liposuction can remove these fat cells to achieve a slimmer and more streamlined figure.
The procedure can be performed under local anaesthetic for smaller areas but more often it requires a general anaesthetic. It takes between one and three hours, depending on how many body areas are treated.
Often liposuction is combined with other body surgeries such as a tummy tuck to achieve the body contours you desire.
The abdominoplasty, also known as a tummy tuck, is a procedure to reshape your stomach and abdomen area to produce a flatter and smoother tummy. It can correct stomach bulges that are resistant to diet or exercise.
Overtime, after having children or, haven lost substantial weight your stomach may appear saggy and loose, making you feel self-conscious. A tummy tuck removes excess fat and skin and in some cases, tightens the abdominal muscles.
There are several types of tummy tucks available including standard, mini, apronectomy and extended. Your cosmetic surgeon will discuss all of your options with you.
A tummy tuck is performed under general anaesthetic and surgery generally takes up to three hours.
The vaginal area is a very intimate area of the female body and requires skilful cosmetic surgery. Cosmetic altering of this area is growing in popularity to allow women to feel comfortable in their own skin and with their sexual partners.
Following childbirth or simply from general ageing the vagina can become looser, leaving a woman with reduced confidence and in some cases with a lack of sexual pleasure.
A vaginoplasty, also called vaginal reshaping and tightening, tightens the vaginal muscles, perineum and surrounding tissues to give your vaginal muscles more strength and control and enhance your sensitivity and sexual experience. The procedure is usually performed under general anaesthetic and takes up to an hour.
Vaginoplasty can also be performed alongside a number of other procedures, such as a labiaplasty.
A labiaplasty or labial correction reshapes and resizes a woman’s inner labia (lips) at the opening of the vagina.
Women may want a labiaplasty because they’re concerned about their labia’s appearance or it may be that their labia are causing discomfort, for example large labia may impact on sexual intercourse.
The procedure is usually performed as a day case procedure under local anaesthetic and can take between 30 minutes to an hour. During surgery, your cosmetic surgeon works to modify the appearance of the labia.
An arm lift, also called brachioplasty or arm reduction surgery, tightens the skin on your underarm and can enable you to wear short sleeved tops again with confidence.
Bingo or bat wings refer to sagging skin under your arm. It’s a very common problem in men and women as they age or after weight loss. This sagging skin is difficult to tone and, it can result in feeling self-conscious and choosing to cover arms whenever possible.
Arm lift surgery is usually performed under general anaesthetic and involves removing excess skin and fat from the under arm area by making an incision between your elbow and armpit. Remaining tissue and skin is then lifted into place and secured.
Liposuction can be used in conjunction with arm lift surgery to remove surplus fat and achieve a shapelier arm.
As its name suggests scar revision surgery is performed to reduce the appearance of scarring. It may be that you have a visible scar from a burn, injury, acne, chickenpox and previous surgery. A scar can be a very prominent feature on your body and make you feel uncomfortable and self-conscious.
Scar revision surgery is carried out under local anaesthetic to flatten and smooth your scarred skin.
